My soul was a vase and you were the flower, you got taken by another. The water spoiled within me, drowning my dreams, fracturing my heart, red remnants settled at the vase’s floor, next to your fallen thorns.

I took the starlight highway, black atmospheric asphalt, celestial highway markings. I found her nestled in her own galaxy. She reached over, turned off the stars, and in the darkness I felt the light.
